Starting this month, Telekom Malaysia has announced that they will be introducing a new Unifi 30Mbps plan for less than RM100 a month aimed towards the B40 income groups of the Malaysian population. The main difference between this plan as compared to the existing Unifi plans available is the lack of an IPTV which is typically included.
It doesn't stop there though! TM has planned to offer Unifi "Turbo" Plans which offers more than double the speed as well as a special upgrade package for customers currently subscribed to Streamyx in Unifi covered locations nationwide. On a side note, TM has also announced the re-launch of their “unlimited” Unifi Mobile postpaid plan which offers unlimited data and talk time. In my opinion, this is definitely a good step towards increasing the broadband speeds in Malaysia. If customers who are interested, they could have the IPTV service as an add-on towards their Unifi Plans. For more updates like these, stay tuned to TechNave.com.
