Just an hour ago, Telekom Malaysia (TM) just posted a new teaser of a unifi 5G package plan. Dubbed uni5G, there isn't much information except that there is an official web portal for it and you can visit it here.
From the website, there is a 5G map checker to see if your area is ready for 5G. From our side, it seems that unifi 5G is available in more urban areas. Besides Kuala Lumpur, Cyberjaya and Putrajaya, Johor Bahru and Penang have 5G connectivity as well.
As advertised for years, 5G will boost our network speed tremendously. uni5G claims that it will offer lag-free gaming, fast 4K video uploads, lag-less video conferences as well as binge-watching shows and movies in 4K resolution. We will probably don't have to wait for that long for TM to make an official announcement on uni5G soon.
