According to BERNAMA, TP-Link Malaysia and Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen enterprise networking skills among students. So, what should you know about it?
An attempt to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry needs
For your information, this three-year collaboration aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry needs through the implementation of network solutions. At the heart of this collaboration is the implementation of TP-Link's Omada enterprise networking solution in UiTM's labs, which provides students with direct exposure to the same infrastructure used in business environments.
Additionally, this is supported by structured training programs, technical workshops, as well as access to the Omada Certified Network Administrator (OCNA) certification path. Students also have the opportunity to undergo industrial training with TP-Link, opening up career paths in Malaysia's digital economy.
Moreover, this initiative continues the success of the joint program with the University of Malaya, which trained over 500 students by 2025. TP-Link and UiTM will also collaborate on research and knowledge exchange, supporting Malaysia's aspirations to build a competitive digital workforce and sustainable modern infrastructure.
