Swiss luxury watchmaker, Tag Heuer, has announced a collaboration with Super Mario through colourful teasers, and it makes many Mario fans getting their wallets ready (well, maybe the rich ones). It is not hard to guess that the project will be a Mario-themed watch as that's what Tag Heuer do. However, several media sites have already received detailed information regarding the product before it gets unveiled on 15 July.

According to sources, the upcoming product will be a Mario-themed Tag Heuer Connected smartwatch. The tech specs will be similar to the previously launched Connected including a 45mm watch face, a 430mAh battery, 5ATM water resistance, and the Wear OS operating system. Not only the tech specs, but the price is also likely to be the same and it's a massive 2,150 USD (~RM9,012), which is also enough for you to get six new Nintendo Switch (OLED version).

Of course, there will be some extra features coming with this version. It is said that it will have a gamification rewards system that allows you to have different animations as rewards every time you hit a certain step goal. The animations include iconic Mario items, like pipes and super mushrooms, and there is also a selection of Mario-themed watch faces to choose from.

Other than the digital features, the smartwatch will also sport a Mario-inspired design with red accents throughout, plus having the letter M engraved on the crown and strap buckles. The red travel case will also pack two straps with one being black leather on red rubber and one that’s a sporty perforated red rubber. It is worth mentioning that Tag Heuer will only be producing 2,000 units, so it might become a valuable collectible after some time.
