The OLED TV (S95C) features an ultra-slim thickness of 11mm and Dolby Atmos for immersive audio-visual experiences while the Galaxy Z Flip5 Maison Margiela Edition packaging reflects the brand's unfinished style with a distinct stitching pattern and paper-based woven book cloth fabric.

LG releases preliminary earnings for Q1 2024

LG Electronics reported record-breaking first-quarter revenues of KRW 21.09 trillion, surpassing KRW 1 trillion in operating profit for the fifth consecutive year. The company's innovative business models, product strategy, and focus on premium market competitiveness contributed to this achievement.

LG aims to expedite the paradigm shift in home appliances through subscription services and incorporate Affectionate Intelligence into its devices. Brother Malaysia provides donation worth RM20000 to fund breast cancer screenings

Brother International Malaysia recently donated RM20,000 to the National Cancer Society Malaysia (NCSM) for breast screenings and the operating costs of NCSM's Children's Home of Hope. The donation will support breast screenings for 40 underprivileged women and cover bills and utilities at the children's home.

 

Schneider Electric on AI, Scarcity, Power, and Other Data Centre Trends for 2024

PRO-NET, a subsidiary of Proton, secured RM200 million financing from CIMB for its green mobility initiative and importing smart #1 EVs to Malaysia and Thailand. PRO-NET is the exclusive importer and distributor of smart vehicles in these countries, offering a holistic electric mobility solution with 13 dealerships, aftersales services, and a user-friendly app.

The company aims to fulfill Proton's commitment to electric vehicles, leading the transition to New Energy Vehicles and developing the Automotive High Tech Valley in Tanjong Malim. This financing will enhance PRO-NET's digital ecosystem, supply chain, and network to meet the rising demand for EVs and support Malaysia's carbon neutrality goal.

Kaspersky: Local threats in Southeast Asia for 2023

In 2023, Southeast Asia faced nearly 43 million local threats targeting organizations, with Kaspersky business solutions blocking over 42 million local infections. While global threats increased, most SEA countries saw a slight decline in local threats detected, except for Singapore, which experienced a 67% year-over-year surge.

Vietnam, Indonesia, and Thailand had the highest number of local threats but Malaysia came in at number 4. Kaspersky recommends robust security solutions, firewalls, anti-rootkit functionality, and control over removable devices to protect against local attacks.

 

18th Cohort Cyberview Livin Lab Accelerator Programme selects 7 local start-ups

Recently, the Cyberview Living Lab Accelerator (CLLA) Programme has selected seven local start-ups for its 18th Cohort, focusing on smart living, green technology, digital solutions, and AI & robotics. The five-month program supports research and development, aiming for Product-Market-Fit and market demand alignment.

The start-ups are MengajiOnline, NexoPrima, MindnRobotics, SOLVNEX, SmartPeep, Bual Design, and BriqBloq. Start-ups receive incentives, workspace, business advisory, and mentoring to develop viable business models and gain market access.
