Are you a Pokemon fan in Malaysia? If you are, we found interesting news of a Pokemon fan mod game currently in development. Found in Reddit, a Pokemon fan is working on a mod that's based on Malaysia and it honestly looks awesome!!

Going by the name, m0cash, he recently shared some screenshots of his mod built from RPG Maker XP with Pokémon essentials using the game engine from the 4th generation (Diamond and Platinum, HeartGold and SoulSilver) and the map follows closely to the roadmap of Malaysia. From the screenshots, it appears to have some volcanoes and ice caves which doesn't really exist in Malaysia but the creator said that it is necessary for all kinds of Pokemon to reside, particularly the Ice and Fire-type Pokemon.

In the Reddit thread, he also confirmed that all the Pokemon from the 1st generation to the 5th are in the game, and will hope to add in the ones from the 6th and 7th generation as well. Fans are also thrilled to know that the Pokemon following you behind is in development, as well as Singapore and Brunei in the near future. The starter town will be at Seremban, Kuala Lumpur.

There is also a plan to make it public but that will take a while for the game mod to be completed, as he is still studying and it's only 35% done. However, he promises to work hard and go all out once his semester break starts, particularly on the interior design. You can read more about it on his Reddit thread here.

So what do you think about this game mod? We are looking forward to it and the emulator should be playable on mobile (since it's doable). Stay tuned for cool local tech news at TechNave.com.
