Guess our wishes are coming true, Respawn Entertainment’s popular battle royale, Apex Legends will be coming to mobile phones soon. EA Games revealed their plans as part of a conference call which happened on the 7th of May.

No doubt this decision would make the number of players on this game skyrocket more than it already is. As of right now, Apex Legends is the fastest growing battle royale game out in the market with 30% of the player base new to EA products. If you didn’t know, the game currently has a base of 50 million players.

In addition, the company is looking to create more content for the players with a “long term service” in mind which includes new Legends and more. As of right now, the company has not mentioned if the game will be supporting cross-play like on Fortnite or segregated like PUBG. They also have not mentioned what minimum phone specs players would need in order to run the game.

For those wondering if the game will be making it onto the Nintendo Switch, no news or announcements have been made in regards to that yet. However, there is a good chance the game will be ported there as the company did state that they are interested in bringing the game to more consoles and markets.

Apex Legends is pretty game changing when it came to battle royale games, introducing some pretty cool innovations into the genre such as different character classes and abilities, 3 man squads, pinging and more. With PUBG Mobile constantly under attack by hackers and Fortnite a little too unstable to play in the SEA region, Apex Legends would definitely be welcomed with open arms by mobile gamers.
