Do you remember Pokemon GO? Now imagine a Minecraft version of that where you get to build your own world in… real life? Granted, Minecraft Earth is in AR. The game is set to be launched this year and the closed beta will be live on iOS later this month. Android users, do not fret as it will be out on your devices as well soon.

As this is a closed beta, only a select number of players will be accepted. Those invited will receive an email on the email account they have used to register their Microsoft account or Xbox Live account. Players who have been selected for the closed beta must also play the game at least once a week. If they don’t, their spots will be given to another player. FYI, the game can only run on devices with Android 7 or iOS 10 and above. Only players above the age of 18 is allowed to participate.

If you’re interested in giving it a shot, you can sign up for the closed beta on the Minecraft Earth’s official website. To make things more interesting, those who participate in the open beta will be receiving a free skin. Given the popularity of Pokemon GO, do you think this game will be as popular?
