As mentioned many times before, 2018 was a very good year for gaming. We had an amazing range of games that were definitely Game of the Year worthy. This year looks to be no exception with two super anticipated games coming out at the end of this month alone. While we're excited for console games, we hope that this year mobile games get a huge range of games as well. Here’s our top 5 picks of games to look forward to from now till April this year!
Anthem
Anthem has been compared to Destiny 2 quite a bit and it is easy to understand why. Wearing futuristic suits, from what we can gather, you are protecting your home from vicious beasts and enemies. This game is multiplayer and it seems to be a good time as you and your friends will be able to choose what classes to be and help each other out with different strategies to defeat foes. You can expect this game out on the 22nd of February on PC, Xbox One and Playstation 4.
Devil May Cry 5
Out of nowhere at E3 last year, Capcom teased Dante’s return in Devil May Cry 5 and this time with Nero as well as V as a playable character. Dante seems a lot older and it has been teased that perhaps Dante may meet his demise in this game. Let’s hope it's not real. The demo is out exclusively on the Xbox One but if you don’t have access to one, don’t worry! The wait for the game’s release that far which is on the 8th of March 2019 on PC, Xbox One and Playstation 4.
Sekiro: Shadow’s Die Twice
We've been hearing that this game will be comparable in difficulty with the Dark Souls series and judging from gameplay trailers, they may not be wrong. Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is a story of revenge set in an immersive setting in Feudal Japan. So honestly: does Shadows Die Twice equal to us dying over and over again? Make sure to sharpen your katanas as this hack and slash game will be out on the 22nd of March on Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC.
Kingdom Hearts 3
Listen, you’re probably lying if you said that you never sang along to Utada Hikaru’s Simple and Clean loudly as the intro for Kingdom Hearts 1 happened. A cross between JRPGs and Disney, Kingdom Hearts 3 has been a very long awaited game that many have been waiting for. Yes, we know a bunch of fillers did come out this past… almost 10 years? But honestly, the story we really care about is Sora’s arc and we hope they keep the quality of the game as good as it was back when it was on the Playstation 2. Kingdom Hearts 3 releases on the 29th of January which is not too long away on the Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC.
Resident Evil 2
Game remakes make me excited. They bring us a possibility to reliving my childhood nostalgia but in a better form. Let’s be real: sure, your favourite childhood games bring a sense of joy in your life but how long can you stare at the horrible graphics of the 90s before you call it a day? They kept the over the shoulder camera angles from back then - inducing some kind of uncomfortable feeling in me. Which means, if you’re a scaredy cat, you might want to avoid the Resident Evil 2 Remake. It is amazing to see Chris Redfield, Ada Wong and Claire look so good in today’s graphics. You can start exploring Raccoon City on the 25th of January on the PS4, Xbox One and PC.
