What do you get when you cross an MMO like Ragnarok Online and a racing game like Asphalt 9 together? You get Speed Drifters. Developed by Tencent, the game is free to play on the Google Playstore and the Apple App Store.

The game is fairly simple, race and drift your way to the finish line against other players. Boosts are awarded when you drift, providing you a way to speed yourself up to the end. There are 4 playable modes which are Solo Speed, Team Speed, Solo Items and Team Items. If you’re into a more casual kind of racing, Gold War and Giant Rally are available for you to grab resources to upgrade your character.

What makes this game stand out from other racing games is the MMO element added to it. The game has an in-game music player as well as a social system for you to make friends, join clubs, a place for you to hang out, and even get married (in-game that is) which will be added into the game slowly over time. You’ll also be able to livestream the game directly from the app itself. Make your character your own with the plethora of car types and classes, map variations and even avatar costumes.

The game was previously known as “QQ Speed” when it was first developed in China. From what we’ve seen, this game needs a lot of skill to be able to make it to the top of the leaderboard (and it’s pretty challenging too!). Will you be hopping into the game?
