Kaspersky offered free Shed No Tears Over WannaCry education workshop

Kaspersky Lab recently held a free education workshop on 2 June 2017, providing businesses and SMEs all the details they need to know on how to protect themselves from the WannaCry ransomware. Kaspersky Lab's, Kaspersky Office Security and Small Office Scirity both offer extended ransomware protection which includes WannaCry but you can check out their site for more information.

iFlix spreads its wings with iFlix Africa

iFlix recently announced that it has expanded to another region with iFlix Africa. It will cover 23 territories and service over 500 million consumers for Subscription Video on Demand (SVoD) services. An iFlix subscription there provides access for up to five devices including, phones, laptops, tablets and TVs.

Logitech introduces Logitech MX Master 2S, MX Anywhere 2S mice and Logitech Flow

Logitech recently announced Logitech Flow which is a new software that allows you to control up to three computers with one mouse. Logitech Flow is compatible with their new flagship mice which includes the Logitech MX Master 2S and the Logitech MX Anywhere 2S (RM339).

 

Cyberjaya marks 20th Anniversary with official launch as a Smart City 

Cyberjaya recently celebrated its 20th year anniversary with its launch as a Smart City, aiming to become global technology hub. This includes the establishment of the Futurise Centre where Microsoft HoloLens, AI Lab, United Nations Technology Innovation Lab and others will gather. The Winhong Information Technology Corporation will invest a projected RM100 million over 5 years in ist Asia Big Data centre. This goes along with the Fintech Hub which is expected to invest RM60 million. Cyberjaya will continue to grow with an RM100 millon Cyberjaya Innovation Fund for the Future. In a timely move for those upcoming balik kampung drivers, Shell Helix and Waze recently launched Asia's first accident-prone spots alerts. This special alert will pop up on Waze from 16 May 2017 till 15 July 2017 when cars approach any of the 50 accident prone spots across Peninsular Malaysia.

Touch 'n Go are implementing "no surcharge fee" for parking, 19 sites so far

Touch 'n Go Sdn Bhd recently stated that they fully support a "no surcharge fee" business model in lieu of the recent 10% surcharge fee for use of Touch 'n Go cards for parking. According to them the 10% surcharge was initially implemented to cover the costs of installation, system integration and ongoing maintenance for these parking sites but the company has said that they are implementing sites with "no surcharge fees".
