Technology from BlackBerry resurfaces in... an electric superbike?

Back in the day, BlackBerry smartphones were a symbol of status for many businessmen. Today, you'd be hard-pressed to find anyone still using one in Malaysia. But the people at BlackBerry Limited have continued to work on other things that many of us don't expect, such as the electric superbike.

According to Engadget, BlackBerry has been collaborating with Damon Motorcycles for the latter's new Hypersport Pro Electric Superbike that will be making a CES 2020 debut. This electric-powered comes powered by BlackBerry's QNX operating system and features a CoPilot advanced warning system, which can warn its riders of incoming objects and thus improve safety. It accomplishes this using a series of sensors, radars, and cameras. Of course, BlackBerry QNX is a frequently used OS for car infotainment systems, so this isn't exactly something new.

While this is not quite what fans of BlackBerry expect and it certainly isn't a smartphone, perhaps those who are also superbike enthusiasts might appreciate it. But considering the lack of recharging stations in Malaysia, would you actually shell out the money for this?
