Looking to unveil more interesting concepts, Tecno also recently announced their Spark Slim concept phone which will be demoed at MWC 2025. At a mere 5.75mm, it's gunning for the title of the world's thinnest smartphone with a 5200 mAh battery (perhaps because the vivo X5Max still holds the overall record at 5.1mm).
While it's still a concept, the tech specs sound suitably midrange. This includes a large 6.78-inch AMOLED display, a 1224p resolution, and a smooth 144Hz refresh rate. The promised 4,500 nits of brightness is a welcome detail, especially for our sunny Malaysian days.
Other specifications and features include dual 50MP rear cameras and a 13MP front shooter. The aforementioned 5200 mAh battery comes with 45W fast charging but there’s no news about the octa-core chipset. No confirmed Malaysia release dates or pricing either, but we’ll know more once Tecno showcases it in Barcelona.
Here are the Tecno Spark Slim (Concept) tech specs and features for now:
- Display: 6.78 inch AMOLED, 1224p, 144Hz refresh rate, 4500 nits peak brightness
- Rear Cameras: Dual 50MP
- Front Camera: 13MP
- Battery: 5,200 mAh, 45W fast charging
- Thickness: 5.75mm
- Chipset: Octa-core?

Thin phones are rather hard to find now, but the recent reveal of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge may have signaled a return to this trend. Still, given the larger display, how will the Tecno Spark Slim's battery perform under heavy use? Would you buy it if it came to Malaysia as a commercial device?
