Recently, Meta announced that the AI character feature is no longer accessible to teens and minors. The restrictions are only temporary while Meta develops a new version of the AI character that is safer for minors to use. So, what should you know about it?

Some AI features will be automatically unavailable for teenagers

For your information, the feature now detects the user's age, and if they are found to be underage, the AI character features will no longer be accessible as before. In addition, if a teenager tries to hide with a fake date of birth, the real age detection system that was introduced previously will also block access immediately. Teenagers, however, will still be able to access other features under the Meta AI umbrella.

Additionally, the announcement comes as several states in the United States are investigating Meta andares also facing a lawsuit from parents after its AI character was found to have conversations that were inappropriate for users' ages last year.
