Telegram has recently released an update with a number of new features. These include the Telegram Browser, a mini-application store, the ability to give 'Stars' to contacts and so on. So, what should you know about it?

For your information, the Telegram Browser supports decentralised websites hosted on TON - in mobile and desktop applications, making Web3 available to nearly a billion monthly users. With this feature, you can open multiple tabbed links within the app, which can be minimised (pushed down) and reopened from the bottom bar.

In addition, when receiving a notification while reading an article, viewing a website or playing a game, users can now check the message and return to viewing the article without losing their current progress. You can also add bookmarks to return to the page later.

Moreover, Telegram now adds an "Apps" tab to the Search section. When accessing that section, it will show a list of popular and currently used mini-apps (Apps You Use). Telegram Star allows users to buy digital goods in the mini-app or access paid content in the channel. With this update, users can buy 'Star' as a gift for contacts.

Furthermore, to gift a star, you can go to Settings > My Stars (on iOS, you'll only see this menu if you've purchased a star for yourself before). Plus, you can now use the front flash when recording video messages. It aims to brighten the screen with extra light, especially in dark conditions.

You can also click on the microphone icon in the message bar to switch to video recording. Then, long press ( hold ) the camera icon > swipe up to lock > and click the flash icon in the lower left corner. Other new features include browser tabs and mini-applications on MacOS, weather widgets in Telegram Stories and the option of a frame to use as a photo cover (story cover).
