Subscription plans are becoming more and more popular among social media tools. If users wanted to use some exclusive features, they would have to pay, and it's as simple as that. With that said, Telegram might be planning to launch a subscription plan of its own, but the features offered are still vague for now.

The Telegram Beta community had discovered a Telegram Premium subscription service in version 8.7.2 of the iOS app. Not only that, but the Android version is most likely to receive the same treatment as well. Currently, features such as extra stickers and exclusive reactions are known to be included. Therefore, we bet that the company has more up its sleeves, as those mentioned features might not be that attractive enough for users to whip out their wallets.

It's worth mentioning that Telegram is currently the most popular messenging platform in Russia. MegaFon reports that it has garnered about 72 million people. The possible reason for such huge popularity in the country could be that other messaging platforms have a series of restrictions, so it's able to stand out among them at these times.
