Telegram has released version 11.14.0 on 31 July 2025, introducing several new features aimed at enhancing user experience and content discovery.
These include global search for public posts, story albums, profile ratings, gift collections, and a new developer-focused mini app. Most features are exclusive to Premium subscribers, with Malaysia users now seeing more value from Telegram’s paid tier.
Global search and story albums now live
One of the most notable additions in this update is the new global post search feature. Premium users can now access a dedicated "Posts" tab when using the search bar, allowing them to discover public posts from millions of channels without needing to subscribe to them first.
Telegram has also rolled out story albums, enabling users to group multiple stories under specific categories on their profiles or channels.
This makes it easier to organize content by theme—such as travel, events, or product showcases—and allows followers to view related stories in one place.
Digital gift collections and limited premium offers
The new Gift Collections feature lets users organise their received gifts by type, theme, or rarity. A single gift can belong to multiple collections, and users can filter them for better visibility.
Telegram also announced plans to launch limited-edition Premium gifts, which will be available in restricted quantities exclusively to Premium users.
Profile Ratings for trust and transactions
Telegram is introducing a Profile Rating badge to build more trust across the platform. The rating is determined by users' transaction history with Telegram Stars—a payment method used for gifts and paid content.
Ratings increase with purchases and decrease with refunds or conversions. This system aims to help users identify trustworthy content creators and service providers.
Mini app tools for developers
Bot developers now have access to an upgraded @BotFather Mini App, which simplifies bot and mini app creation. New capabilities include support for full-screen mini apps, subscription services, home screen shortcuts, motion sensors, and geolocation.
These enhancements provide more flexibility for app developers within the Telegram ecosystem.
