Remember when there used to be '3D' TVs? Well, a gaming company has replicated that in handheld consoles. Recently, Tencent announced a new '3D' gaming handheld device.

According to ITHome, Tencent Games and Intel have launched the world's first 3D handheld gaming PC - the "Sunday Dragon 3D One". Developed by Tencent, the 3D One sports Intel's Ultra 7 258V Lunar Lake processor, 32GB of LPDDR5x RAM, and a 1TB SSD. There's no mention of a dedicated GPU, so we can assume it's running solely on the latest Intel Arc Graphics.

So, what makes this device different from most handheld gaming PCs? For one, it has an 11-inch 2.5K 120Hz display. That's a large display that's typically seen only on tablets. It's also a TN panel instead of the OLED panel used by other handheld devices. To display "3D visuals", the 3D One uses an eye-tracker to track the user's view before generating the 3D effects.

Mind you, 3D-powered handhelds aren't a new thing. After all, Nintendo has done this before with its 3DS series. But will the Sunday Dragon 3D One gain that level of interest? Share your thoughts in the comments and stay tuned to TechNave for more news like this.
