Tengku Zafrul: Anwar to meet with Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella to make Malaysia ASEAN’s Digital Hub

Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI) Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz has revealed that he will be facilitating a meeting between Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim with Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella. The meeting is aimed at devising a strategy to make Malaysia the Digital Hub of ASEAN. 

As reported by Bernama, Tengku Zafrul said that MITI alongside relevant agencies is working closely with Microsoft in order to make Malaysia the digital hub of ASEAN. He added that this is part of the “Kekal Bersama Malaysia” initiative.

The MITI Minister added that Malaysia is looking forward to closer collaboration with Microsoft to drive our country’s leadership in the ASEAN digital sphere. Staya is slated to visit our country on 20 March to deliver the opening keynote of the Microsoft Build: AI Day KL but the visit has unfortunately been postponed indefinitely.
