Tensor G6 chipset leaked - More focus on photography processing rather than gaming

Recently, there was a leak of specifications for the Tensor G6 , which brought some much-needed improvements, but with one piece of bad news. That said, what should you know about it?

An upgrade to its predecessor

For your information, the CPU is more powerful as it comes with 7 cores from the C1 family, namely 1× C1 Ultra 4.11GHz, 4× C1 Pro 3.38GHz and 2× C1 Pro 2.65GHz. This is good because it is the latest ARM core.

Moreover, it uses the PowerVR C‑Series CXTP‑48‑1536 GPU, which is already a few years old. On paper, the gaming performance of the Pixel 11 series, which will use the Tensor G6, is expected to be disappointing. This is in line with Google's principle that it sees the Pixel more as a photography device with interesting AI capabilities than a powerful device for gaming.

Additionally, this is an argument that can be applied in the United States but not in Malaysia. The various AI features unique to Pixel are still not fully usable in Malaysia. Without solid gaming performance, the Pixel series will continue to be seen as less competitive.
