Today, Tesla made a silent announcement that the new refreshed Model 3 is now available. It's also available for the Malaysian market with a starting price of RM189,000 and here's everything else you need to know about the EV.
First, the Tesla Model 3 now has a new look and if you take a closer look at the official webpage, the headlamp looks more modern than before and its sharp lines extend to the hood. Overall, it has a more sporty and cleaner look. Even the C-shaped taillights look unique facing each other at the rear. The default wheel size is 18 inches but customers can choose for the 19 inches version.
With the revamped design, Tesla said that this improves the aerodynamics of the Model 3 for better range and quieter rides. In terms of specifications, the Long Range All-Wheel Drive is able to go up to 629 kilometres on a single charge, with an acceleration of 4.4 seconds from 0-100 km/h. Most of the features between the Rear-Wheel Drive and Long Range are similar, except for the charging which is 170 kW Max and 250 kW Max; Pay Per User respectively.
As aforementioned, the Rear-Wheel Drive is the one that's RM189,000, whereas the Long Range Model costs RM218,000. The Tesla Model 3 will come in a few colour choices, which are Pearl White Multi-Coat, Solid Black, Deep Blue Metallic, Stealth Grey and Ultra Red with varying prices. The EV is scheduled for delivery by the end of the year and that's even faster than the Model Y.
