Something interesting happened last night to one of the most famous EV cars in the world, the Tesla. According to Bomba Malaysia, the EV car was involved in a fire incident last night. That said, what caused this incident?
For your information, The Fire and Rescue Department confirmed that a Tesla electric vehicle was involved around 8:32 PM. Footages of the fire made its way to the internet, but official confirmation only arrived in the morning. When 7 firefighters arrived at the scene, they found the Tesla Model Y to be 70% engulfed in flame.
There was no official report on the time taken to put out the fire. But thankfully, Bomba Malaysia got it under control. Assistant Director for the Operation Division of Bomba Selangor, Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar said the car owner left to get some food before the EV caught fire.
Moreover, Mukhlis says the case is currently under investigation by the forensic department. There is no official confirmation on the cause of the fire, but rumour suggests a high-voltage battery on the Tesla could be the culprit. However, the firefighters didn’t face any difficulties putting out the fire last night. So, that rules out such possibilities.
