There is already a couple of news regarding the Apple AirPods Pro 2 and we won't be surprised that it will be released in 2022. Out of all the rumoured news, the most reliable one would be from Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo and he has some new information about the upcoming wireless earbuds.

According to Kuo's notes, he expects the company to launch the new AirPods Pro 2 in the fourth quarter of 2022. The wearable could have a new design from the predecessor, support Lossless music format as well as a charging case that emits a sound for users to find it. He also mentioned that the demand for the AirPods Pro 2 is optimistic and estimated at 18-20 million shipping units this year.

The Lossless format is something that was added to Apple Music a year ago but many older AirPods aren't able to support it due to the limitations of Bluetooth support. Besides that, Kuo also thinks that AirPods could support health management functions in the future. We think it may go hand in hand with the Apple Watch Series so we will just have to wait and see.

Kuo's notes also mentioned that the AirPods 2 Pro shipment should be better than the predecessor. Apple's AirPods line performed better than expected, shipping at 27 million units (107% QoQ and 20% YoY) and he is predicting a shipment to 90 million units this year with 25% YoY growth.

Well, it's still a long way to go for the AirPods 2 Pro. Until then, stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
