If you are a fan of the iPhone series, this rumour might excite you. A trusted Apple source says the new phone could feature a Tetraprism Telephoto Lens With 5X Optical Zoom. That said, what should you know about it?

According to Apple analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo, this system was made available for the iPhone 15 Pro Max. Interestingly, this system is not available on the Pro variant. That makes it the first time Apple has added camera technology to one Pro device and not the other.

In addition, rumour says this happened due to the space limitation in the Pro variant. As a result, only the Pro Max variant was able to run the system. Plus, this issue could stem from a yield problem.

According to Kuo, the lens supplier Largan was producing the tetraprism hardware for the ‌iPhone 15 Pro‌ Max in the third quarter of 2023, production yield was at just 40 percent. Thankfully, it has improved to 70 per cent and above now. Notably, Apple also plans to increase the Pro model size from 6.1 to 6.3-inches.

We have yet to confirm other details or the Malaysia release date for the phone. At this point, it’s too early to speculate or jumpto conclusions. So, you might want to wait for now.
