Don't fancy a smartwatch or smart band or even smart glasses? Well, why not have some smart, wireless and in-ear headphones instead? This is exactly the premise of The Dash by BRAGI LLC, which are a pair of water-proof in-ear headphones packed with a 4GB built-in music player and sensors that can track your heartbeat, steps and gestures. The headphones fit perfectly (for most ears) into your ear and have a glowing LED circle on the outside, giving it a very stylish and Tron-like feel.

The Dash can work on it's own, or with your smartphone and has a gesture controlled touchpad on the left for fitness tracking while the one on the right controls your music. Tech specs for The Dash include a 32-bit ARM processor, 3-way accelerometer, bluetooth 4.0, thermometer, ear bone microphone and 100 mAh batteries which charge in an hour and last up to 3 hours on a single charge. The Dash is currently a Kickstarter project which has already exceeded it's goal of $260000 with an eventual  price tag of $299 (RM993) by the time it goes commercial.

You can still get your own pair for a discounted $199 (RM660) as the Kickstarter funding period is still on for another 46 days or for the next 2097 pledgers, whereupon you'll only be able to get it for $239 and above. Bear in mind, you'll have to add on another $15 for shipping but $214 (RM710) is still a very good price. Check out the videos for yourself below:
