The GXBank has been around for quite some time now and to further expand its services, the DuitNow QR scanner has been added to the app. To get the new function, just update the GXBank app to the latest version from your Apple App or Google Play Store.

Finding the DuitNow QR scanner is straightforward as it's hanging out on the home page in between "Add Money" and "Send Money". After you tap into it, it has the same basic functions such as paying or receiving money digitally. Alternatively, you can also upload a QR code from your gallery on the phone.

In case you're wondering, there are no hidden fees for using the QR payment. But it doesn't offer the unlimited 1% cashback promo since that's exclusive to the GX Card only. You may also set up a daily payment limit for DuitNow of up to RM5000 per day in the GXBank app settings, as well as the daily transfer limit.

Last month, GXBank rolled out its physical GX Card across the nation and you get to apply for it free of charge. You can apply for it on the app itself and it comes with the aforementioned 1% cashback which is the same as the digital GX Card. You can also use it to withdraw money from an MEPS ATM whereby the RM1 fee withdrawal is waived until the end of this year.
