A few hours ago, Epic Games Store just made a big announcement - its PC gaming platform is coming to iOS and Android this year. But what is the company going to bring to the table on the mobile side?

On Epic Games Store's Twitter X post, it stated - "Same fair terms, available to all developers, on a true multi-platform store – with amazing games for everyone". For the record, the terms are referred to its PC gaming platform. Epic takes a 12% cut while game developers who publish their games there get 88% of revenue.

We assume that the Epic Games Store will function similarly to Steam, Ubisoft Connect and Battle.net apps, whereby the gamers can look at their games in the library or chat with friends online. On top of that, Steam users can also purchase games on mobile and we think that can be done the same on the Epic Games Store mobile version.

The Epic Games Store mobile app is scheduled to arrive later this year so there's no specific date yet. It's also unknown if Fortnite will be available to play through there. At the moment, the mobile game version is available to download on the Epic Games website or Samsung Galaxy Store, as well as through cloud gaming on Android.
