Five operators of the BreachForum website, where the stolen data was being sold, have been arrested by the French police's cybercrime unit, Le Parisien reported.

The four site operators, as well as hackers using the names “ShinyHunters,” “Hollow,” “Noct,” and “Depressed,” were arrested earlier this week. Another hacker, “IntelBroker,” was arrested in February.

They were also involved with Malaysia

For your information, BreachForum was a darknet website that sold Malaysian user data several years ago. In 2023, the site's operations were successfully shut down by authorities after its operator Conor "Pompompurin" FitzPatrick was arrested and brought to court.

Additionally, it resumed operations when the five individuals above launched BreachForum 2.0. However, the second iteration of this site also ceased operations in April this year, believed to be due to security vulnerabilities.

Well, that's all we know for now. We would highly advise you to not disclose your personal details to any third party. If anything, you should keep changing your passwords from time to time.
