In this short news, HONOR just announced a new software update policy for its HONOR fans. For HONOR Magic 5 Pro and Magic Vs users, they will be receiving three years of Android upgrades and five years of security patches.
That said, the Magic 5 Pro and Magic Vs have yet to arrive in the Malaysian market. But to recap the tech specs, the Magic 5 Pro features the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, 12GB + 512GB, a 6.81-inch 120Hz AMOLED display, a 50MP triple rear camera and a 5100mAh battery with 66W fast charging technology.
On the other hand, the foldable Magic Vs features a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset instead, the same memory capacity, a 6.45-inch 120Hz exterior display + 7.9-inch 90Hz 2K interior display, a 54MP + 50MP rear camera setup, and a 5000mAh battery with the same HONOR SuperCharge technology. It's priced at 1599 Euros (~RM7568), whereas the Magic 5 Pro is 1199 Euros (~RM5680).
Running on the latest HONOR MagicOS 7.1 based on Android 13, both the HONOR Magic 5 Series and HONOR Magic Vs offer some smart features such as the MagicRing for multi-device collaboration and Magic Text for intelligent text recognition.
