After HUAWEI introduced the new HUAWEI Pura X foldable phone model in March, it is now rumoured that HUAWEI will introduce a new generation of it early next year, namely the HUAWEI Pura X2. So, what should you know about it?

The new phone could feature the Kirin 9030 SoC

For your information, the reception for the Pura X has been quite encouraging in China, so HUAWEI plans to launch the Pura X2 next year, around January to March. It is rumoured to be equipped with the Kirin 9030 chipset. This is a logical assumption since the Pura X uses the Kirin 9020. Apart from the chipset, no further information was given about the Pura X2.

In case you didn’t know, the Pura X is a flip-style folding phone with a slightly different aspect ratio than other brands of flip phones. When the screen is open, it has a 16:10 aspect ratio, making it look like a square with almost equal sides, unlike most flip phones, which have a 21:9 aspect ratio and an elongated shape.
