HUAWEI announced the new product launch date through an update on Weibo yesterday. The event scheduled for September 10 will be held in China but we have no further details on the products to be announced. So, what should you know about it?

For your information, It is expected that HUAWEI's recently leaked tri-fold screen phone could potentially be announced at the launch event. There is even a new short promotional video content that gives the impression that the device may be known as Huawei Mate XT.

In addition, it's not a new thing since some of HUAWEI's previous foldable screen phones were also launched under the Mate branding. These include the HUAWEI Mate Xs, Mate Xs 2, Mate X3 and Mate X5. The existence of Ultimate Design branding is also seen to attract attention as it seems to indicate that there may be a limited edition that comes with it later.

Based on the leaked information, the device has a 6.8-inch screen in the closed position and can grow to around 10 inches when all three screens are open. OPPO and TECNO have also shown their first prototypes last week. We have yet to confirm other tech specs or the Malaysia release date for the device. So, we should wait for more info from HUAWEI.
