Various automotive brands showed their latest offerings at this year's Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show. Honda Malaysia also exhibited several concept vehicles and, even more interestingly, an electric car, the Honda e:N1, which could arrive in Malaysia next year.
For your information, the Honda e:N1 is an electric car developed from HR-V, with the same design can be seen from the rear door handle, all the way to the interior. For the Southeast Asian market, it will be sold in Indonesia and Malaysia. It will likely follow the same specifications as the electric motor that can provide a maximum power of 150kW and a maximum torque of 310 Nm, allowing acceleration from 0-100 km/h in 7.7 seconds with a maximum speed of 160 km.
In addition, the Honda e: N1 sold in Indonesia has a travel distance of around 410km WLTP due to the 68.8 kWh battery. But it only supports DC 78 kW charging, making the charging period 10%-80% in 45 minutes. But it is different for AC, where charging 11kW requires about 6 hours for full charging.
Moreover, Honda Malaysia is loaded with hybrid car offerings that also save energy, but with the presence of this Honda e:N1 model at the KLIMS event, visitors will be able to take a closer look at fully electric cars. So, we should be able to gauge electric cars interest from the community for the local market.
