From time to time, Huawei would often be in the spotlight for manufacturing outstanding camera designs. Reports are saying that the next Huawei Mate 50 series will be unveiled on 6 September 2022 and there's a leaked photo of what the rear camera looks like.
It may look ordinary and obviously, the Mate 50 in the photo looks like a prototype. However, a closer look at the alleged primary camera at the top right corner appears to have an aperture with six blades. This allows the camera to control the amount of light entering the lens which is ideal for taking photos in low-light conditions.
According to sources, Huawei actually submitted a patent called "Aperture, Camera Module and Electronic Device" last year. In the patent image above, you can see that there is a 6-blade aperture and it's very likely that it could be used in the Mate 50 series. A few years ago, Samsung also did the same but with only a 2-blade aperture.
