Today, Huawei has officially marked the global return of its flagship Mate lineup at the “Now Is Your Run” product launch event in Madrid. Headlining the showcase was the HUAWEI Mate 80 Pro, alongside several new ecosystem products, including the HUAWEI FreeBuds Pro 5, HUAWEI WATCH Ultimate 2 in a new Green colourway, and the HUAWEI Band 11 Series.
The Mate 80 Pro
At the core of the launch is the HUAWEI Mate 80 Pro, which introduces an upgraded True-to-Colour Camera system. The new imaging setup focuses on delivering consistent colour accuracy across varying lighting conditions and mixed colour temperatures. Rather than amplifying saturation or contrast, the system prioritises realistic reproduction, whether users are shooting subtle indoor scenes or vibrant outdoor landscapes.
Huawei has also evolved its signature Dual Space Ring design language. The Mate 80 Pro features clean architectural lines paired with premium finishes inspired by natural elements. Available in Gold, Green, and Black, the device presents a minimalist yet confident aesthetic. Huawei Malaysia has confirmed that the Mate 80 Pro will be introduced to the local market in the coming weeks.

Artificial intelligence plays a more visible role in the Mate 80 Pro’s user experience. The new AI Composition feature provides real-time suggestions for crop or zoom adjustments, with subtle framing guides appearing directly in the viewfinder to assist users in capturing better-balanced shots.
AI Smart Control adds convenience by allowing users to launch favourite AI-powered apps instantly with a double-tap of the lock button. These additions are designed to streamline everyday tasks while enhancing creative flexibility. Beyond AI features, the Mate 80 Pro integrates improved durability, intelligent system optimisation, and enhanced multitasking performance to support all-day productivity.
The FreeBuds Pro 5, WATCH Ultimate 2 and Band 11
Complementing the smartphone launch is the HUAWEI FreeBuds Pro 5, described as the industry’s first wireless earbuds to feature dual-engine AI noise cancellation. The earbuds combine intelligent noise adaptation with a dual-drive acoustic system, dynamically adjusting to different environments.

Huawei also expanded its wearable portfolio with the WATCH Ultimate 2 in a new Green colourway. While retaining its premium diving and outdoor capabilities, the updated model introduces enhanced golf-focused features for more precise tracking.
Meanwhile, the Band 11 Series offers a larger and clearer display, along with integrated health and activity tracking features. Positioned as a streamlined wellness companion, it targets users seeking essential fitness insights in a lightweight form factor.
