With no news from the US Government lifting the ban on Huawei anytime soon, the rumoured news of the Huawei P50 series is lacking and slow. However, there's a new piece of information that Huawei could launch the upcoming flagship on 17 April 2021.

The news source came from News Digital blogger Bald Panda in China. On top of the supposedly leaked launch date, he also said that the expected shipment volume is lesser than before. Therefore, the launch should be prioritized in mainland China more than the global market, just like how it happened with the Huawei Mate 40 series last year with the lacklustre public interest.

To recap, we should be seeing three P50 models - the vanilla P50, P50 Pro and the P50 Pro+. The vanilla variant should come with a Kirin 9000E chipset, whereas the other two would be using a Kirin 9000 chipset. Other feature highlight includes screen quality (from 90Hz to 120Hz refresh rate), ultra-light sensor and new mobile gaming features.

Huawei has definitely seen better days but are you still excited for the P50 series launch? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
