Today, Huawei Malaysia just announced that the Huawei nova 8 will be arriving soon in Malaysia on 27 August 2021. It was first released in the Chine market back at the end of the year and it's its turn to make a splash. No price was announced yet, of course, but here's a recap of the tech specs.
To refresh your memory, the nova 8 comes with a 6.57-inch curved OLED display supporting a 90Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate. On top of that, the camera module is the same as the nova 8i, carrying a 32MP AI front camera as well as a 64MP (main) + 8MP (ultrawide) + 2MP (macro) + 2MP (depth) quad rear camera.
Weighing at 169g only, the nova 8 is sporting a Kirin 985 chipset, 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. The battery pack is only 3800mAh, though, but at least it has a 66W fast-charging technology on board. Moreover, it also has a dual-view video function that allows the user to record the front and back at the same time.
In terms of price, the nova 8 may come in two memory variants in the Malaysian market. There is an 8GB + 128GB model that cost 3299 Yuan (~RM2051) and a 8GB + 256GB model for 3699 Yuan (~RM2412). Would we get both? We shall see. Until then, stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
