If you are a fan of “The Last Of Us” franchise, this news might surprise you. Recently, Sony announced a remastered version of The Last of Us 2 will arrive on PS5 next year. That said, what should you know about it?

For your information, the most interesting addition to the game is the new mode called “No Return”. In this “roguelike survival mode”, you could prove your worth in randomised encounters and experience The Last of Us Part II’s combat in a fresh experience. This is what Naughty Dog’s Jonathon Dornbush said:

“You’ll be able to play as some new characters and work through various stealth and combat encounters that will pit you against a range of enemies, with unique twists that can add new, unexpected factors to any given encounter.”

In addition, the game features native 4K output in fidelity mode, 1440p upscaled to 4K when in performance mode, and if you are using a TV that supports VRR. You can also opt to unlock framerate with better loading times.

If you are interested, the game will arrive on the PS5 console this 19 January 2024. If you already have the game on PS4, you can upgrade to this version for only $10 (~RM46.72). Personally? We feel the standard version is enough.
