Do you love the idea of a laptop that can do plenty on the go but have enough power to game on the highest settings when you get back? Well, external GPUs are the solution and Lenovo has a new one. The company is set to show off a series of new products and among them is the new Legion BoostStation external GPU enclosure that is made to be paired with the new Legion Y740S laptop.

The Lenovo Legion Y740S is designed to be a lightweight productivity machine when used on its own. It's relatively light at 1.9kg and is expected to pack a 10th Gen Intel Core i9 CPU inside, which is more than enough for most productivity task. But that's not all, its other tech specs are equally impressive. Lenovo has confirmed that this laptop will come with up to 32GB of RAM, 1TB PCIe SSD storage, and a 15.6-inch 4K IPS display. It's also supposed to have a battery life of up to eight hours of battery life, depending on your usage. The price of this laptop starts at around USD 1100 (~RM4519) and should be available in May 2020.

In addition, you can connect the Y740S to the Legion BoostStation via a port that supports Thunderbolt 3. Once connected, you are able to make use of powerful desktop GPUs installed within to play games on higher settings. This aluminium enclosure's front has a honeycomb grille, providing enough airflow to the GPU within. It's also good to know that it supports both Nvidia GeForce and AMD Radeon GPUs, while the tool-free installation is a nice plus. The price for a standalone Legion BoostStation is USD 250 (~RM1027) and it should also be available in May 2020.

These are but two of many products that we'll be seeing soon from Lenovo at CES 2020. What else would you like to see from this year's event? Come share your thoughts on our Facebook page and for more CES 2020 news, stay tuned to TechNave.com.
