If you are into photography, you might have heard of the Leica Leitz Phone 3. Rumour says the third-generation Leitz Phone, which features variable aperture and new camera modes could arrive soon. That said, what should you know about it?

For your information, this phone could also use a one-inch sensor. Compared with the previous generation, the specifications will not be significantly upgraded. Like its predecessor, Leitz Phone 3 is also limited to the Japanese market.

In addition, the Leitz Phone 3 looks very similar to Sharp's flagship R8s Pro phone, except for the signature Leica red logo. The shape of the mobile phone maintains the past style, using a magnetic lens cover, rhombus texture and side engravings. The Leitz Phone 3 uses a one-inch 47.2MP sensor and a 19mm equivalent f/1.9 lens.

Moreover, in terms of functionality, eight-phase detection autofocus has been added, and a new Leica perspective control function has been added to compensate for perspective distortion, ensuring a more natural shooting effect.

Spec-wise, the Leitz Phone 3 is equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. The screen uses a 6.6-inch Pro-IGZO OLED screen with a 240Hz screen refresh rate, a resolution of 2730 x 1260, and a peak brightness of 2,000 nits. Leitz Phone 3 has a built-in 5,000mAh large-capacity battery, 512GB of storage space, memory card expansion and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The body width is 77mm and the weight is 209g.

Furthermore, we have yet to confirm other tech specs or the Malaysia release date for the device. As of now, we should wait for more confirmation from Leica. If you are looking forward to this phone, you might want to save up for it.
