Potholes are a common trait when it comes to Malaysia roads, so the Ipoh City Council decided to tackle the problem by setting up a WhatsApp channel for the community. Known as Aduan Pothole MBIthe community can contact them via the number  017 4122113, their WhatsApp web page or QR Code Aduan Pothole MBI to report potholes on the road.

With this, the Ipoh community will have to provide an accurate and authentic location for the MBI to carry out the repair work. As mention on their website, the WhatsApp channel is live 24 hours but the repair work hours are normal working hours. From Monday to Friday, it starts at 8 AM to 5 PM whereas for Saturday, it starts at 8 AM to 2 PM. MBI does not work on Sundays and Public Holidays.

This is quite an effective method for the community to report potholes and it'd be great if every other city and states have this function too. Potholes have always been a problem in Malaysia and a few Malaysians have decided to take the matter into their own hands. Use it well, Ipoh! Stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
