As known, the Maybank2u application can no longer be downloaded from the application store starting 30 June 2024. Following the move, Maybank has now announced that the Maybank2u application will be discontinued effective 28 August 2024. Meaning, that the user can no longer access the account or any function on the Maybank2u MY application after it is terminated.
Furthermore, users who have not downloaded the MAE application are advised to do so as soon as possible. In addition to being equipped with all the functions of Maybank2u MY, the MAE application also offers enhanced security with Secure2u as the only way to verify transactions. Downloading the MAE application can be done through the Apple App Store, Google Play Store or Huawei AppGallery. After that, users can access MAE with their existing Maybank2u ID.
In addition, if you activate Secure2u for the first time or on a new device, it is subject to a minimum activation period of 12 hours. We have yet to confirm other details on the subject. So, we should wait for more confirmation from Maybank.
