Bullying is an issue that has been going on in schools for many years already. To tackle it, Senior Education Minister Datuk Dr Radzi Jidin said that the Ministry of Education (MOE) is preparing to design and launch a bully complaints portal next week. But how does that work?

According to Dr Radzi Jidin, the parents and teachers can log in to the portal and submit reports of bullying. The phone number and email are provided as well and would hide the informer's confidentiality. He addressed this during the bullying incident in Mara Junior Science College in Kuantan at the Education Transformation Showcase over the weekend.

To further create a safe environment in schools, the MOE would also launch the Sekolahku Sejahtera, Sepakat dan Selamat programme. This initiative will seek the police and the Home Ministry's collaboration, and Dr Radzi Jidin hopes that these efforts can minimise bullying in schools. On top of that, special committees will be established to examine existing guidelines and procedures in relation to bullying.

There's no word of the portal's name yet for this but what do you think? Would it really help to decrease bullying in schools? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
