Fresh from a successful Kickstarter campaign, the Monoshot aims to give smartphone photography some needed help. With the increased proliferation of selfie sticks among smartphone users, the Monoshot stands out with its three-in-one functionalities.
This multi-function device serves as the platform for smartphones to be tethered for best photography on the go. It is designed when tripods are too big to be used, and selfie sticks are too small to be useful for mobile photography. It’s a portable tripod that can take on a number of different forms to help stabilize your smartphone (or small camera).

It comes with three different modes – in tripod mode, it can be extended up to 6 feet (1.8 metres) tall, or as short as 17 inches (40cm), making it compact and portable to be brought along anywhere you need to. At only 900 grams, it is light too. For monopod mode, just unscrew the telescoping feet, and it becomes a great monopod. Plus, when attached with the optional spike, it can stand by its own in the ground for hands-free shots.

Lastly, it is a great selfie stick, as the aircraft-grade aluminium gives it strength. Plus the included Bluetooth remote allows you to take shots from afar, and from an arm’s length. No Malaysia release dates but the Monoshot is now available for USD 59 (~RM230) from their website – monoshot.co. We expect at least a few third-party sellers to offer it soon.
