With the rising cases of COVID-19 nowadays, you or other people that you know may have been labelled as casual contact in your MySejahtera (MySJ) app. That will change today as our Minister of Health, Khairy Jamaluddin officially tweeted that the MySJ trace and check-ins will no longer show that.

On his Twitter post, he said that should anyone gets detected as a casual contact, the app will send a notification instead of the label. That should be good news to those who are casual contact and not allowed into a certain premise due to confusion, however, the notification will still remind you to adhere to SOPs at all times.

On the other hand, Malaysians should also be reminded that starting today onwards (1 March), close contacts who already fully vaccinated or received the booster shot don't need to isolate themselves at home anymore, provided they have no symptoms. That being said, a self-test is required on Day 1 and Day 3 for the app to monitor.

Do take care of yourself out there and stay safe. Stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
