The Ministry of Home Affairs (KDN) will implement the National Integrated Immigration System (NIISe) in stages at all air, land and sea entry points in the country, starting March 31, 2026. So, what should you know about it?

It will be introduced gradually in phases

For your information, this implementation will be piloted at selected locations, namely Senai International Airport on 31 March 2026, followed by the Bukit Bunga ICQS Complex (31 May 2026) and the Puteri Harbour International Ferry Terminal (30 June 2026).

According to the Ministry of Home Affairs, this phased approach was implemented following the success of the NIISe trial run, which took place from September 2025 to 2026, thus confirming the system's readiness to be expanded nationwide.

During the trial period, several initiatives were introduced, including the launch of the MyNIISe application, the installation of eGate facilities at major international airports and the use of QR codes at the country's main entry points, and so on.

The implementation of NIISe is also part of the government's efforts to strengthen national security and improve the efficiency of immigration service delivery through comprehensive digitalisation. As of March 17, 2026, the MyNIISe application has recorded 1780425 downloads with 897673 registered users, consisting of 616730 Malaysians and 246946 Singaporeans.

The public is advised to download the MyNIISe application early to ensure smooth immigration procedures when full implementation begins in stages.
