Nintendo Switch owners have long had to endure losing their Joy-Con. Search until you find it, or just buy a new controller. But on Switch, the Joy-Con 2 controller will vibrate and make a sound to make it easier to find. So, what should you know about it?

For your information, this feature for finding a lost Joy-Con 2 is similar to Apple's Find My and Google's Find Hub features. The feature is called Search for Controllers. When activated, a sound will be emitted, and if one of the Joy Con 2 shoulder buttons is pressed, it will vibrate the motor on the Joy Con 2 being searched for.

Additionally, for this feature to work, the lost Joy-Con 2 must have a battery and be within range of the Switch 2's Bluetooth tether. So the process of finding the lost controller must be done before it runs out of battery. There is no information on whether Nintendo is using UWB technology, which is already supported by Android and Apple devices, as it makes it easier to find lost items.
