OPPO Malaysia today announced that the OPPO A77s can now virtually double its RAM to 16GB. This is thanks to the company’s self-developed RAM Expansion technology that utilises algorithmic optimisation to unify RAM and ROM.
In a statement today, OPPO Malaysia said that the new feature allows users to access up to 8GB of virtual RAM instead of the previous 5GB limit. This will be available to new OPPO A77s out of the box and existing users of the smartphone through the latest OTA update. With the new 8GB virtual RAM option, users are given the choice to adjust the volume of expansion with four adjustment levels. These include 1GB, 3GB, 5GB or 8GB of RAM extension, thus ensuring more data and multiple apps running in memory for a seamless user experience.
