Back in early September, the OPPO F17 series was released in India and as a well-known lineup for the Malaysian market, we are expecting it to arrive here pretty soon. However, we also just read some interesting news source that the F17 series could be marketed as the OPPO A93 globally.

First leaked by @evleaks, he showcased the allegedly OPPO A93 render images until other India smartphone enthusiasts pointed out how similar it looks to the OPPO F17 series. It has the same rear camera design, same colours and the same body design, which is not the first time that the company has done so. That said, perhaps this could be for the consumers in the West whereas the rest of Asia could retain the F17 series name. After all, the OPPO F series is quite established here in Malaysia.

In terms of tech specs, the F17 Pro features up to MediaTek Helio P95 chipset, 8GB of RAM, 128GB storage, 6.43-inch Super AMOLED display, and a 4000mAh battery with 30W fast-charging technology. The vanilla F17 also features similar tech specs, except that it only has 6GB of RAM and a 6.4-inch size teardrop display. Starting price could be around ~RM1296 after direct currency exchange.

We think it's only a matter of time when OPPO Malaysia would introduce the F17 series, but they just recently announced the Reno 4 series not too long ago so we probably need to wait for more longer. Stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
