As iPhone fans should know by now, the next Apple Event is coming soon next week on 9 September 2024 (10 September for Malaysia) with a new Capture button. However, it seems that Apple won't be the only brand with that new feature, as OPPO could also have its own.
It's not officially confirmed by OPPO yet, but leaks of the feature are said to debut in the upcoming OPPO Find X8 series. According to @UniverseIce and BiuBiu, OPPO could call it the Quick Button with several functions. On BiuBiu's Weibo account, the button can be customized for camera, picture viewing and game modes.

That's not all, each mode can do more than one function. For example, the camera mode could allow the user to tap to take a photo, a long press to shoot and a sliding zoom. Both picture viewing and game mode might have only two functions each, with a sliding gesture for previews and shooting (possibly for FPS mobile games).
The OPPO Find X8 series is rumoured to be launching in October so there's still more than a month to go. And before anyone says OPPO is copying Apple, the capture button originally came from Sony. So if anything, both OPPO and Apple copied Sony.
