The OPPO Reno12 Series was already released in China at the end of May and launched globally a few hours ago. It didn't take long for OPPO Malaysia to announce its arrival which is scheduled for 27 June 2024. The livestream event will start at 4 PM.
On OPPO Malaysia's website, it's confirmed that both Reno12 Pro and Reno12 will be coming. To recap some of the tech specs, the Reno12 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ chipset, alongside up to 16GB of RAM, 512GB of storage and a 5000mAh battery pack with 80W charging support. Meanwhile, the Reno12 features a Dimensity 8250 chipset with the same memory configuration and battery.
That said, both the Reno12 Pro and Reno12 have the same 6.7-inch 120Hz OLED display with a 50MP punch-hole front camera. The triple rear camera is also the same, consisting of a 50MP (main) + 8MP (ultrawide) + 50MP telephoto setup. It's noted that the pro variant uses a higher-end Sony IMX890 sensor for the main camera.
In China, the Reno12 Pro and Reno12's starting prices are at 3400 Yuan (~RM2210) and 2700 Yuan (~RM1755), respectively. Also, Amelia Henderson and Minluna will appear at the launch event as special guests to promote the Reno12 Series. Stay tuned.
